Tätigkeitsbereich

The Sustainable Rural Development Program (SRD) works with business and government to increase competitiveness and raise income in the rural areas of Albania. Together, we establish innovations in agriculture and rural tourism, scale them in the market and build a strong enabling environment. We focus on vegetables, fruits, and dairy in agricultural value chains, and promote outdoor sports, agritourism and destination management in rural tourism. We do this for EU accession, promoting green growth, fostering digitization, and advancing diversity.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Assist in the development and implementation of a strategic policy environment for agritourism in Albania, for instance aiming at increasing the number of certified agritourism by simplifying certification procedures
• Working with individual agritourism to drive hospitality and supply chain innovation, for instance by testing the use of autochthonous seeds, food safety interventions, or creating agritourism tour products together with tour operators
• Support the team in promoting the agritourism association becoming a professional service-oriented organisation, mostly by strengthening its role to promote and scale tested innovations to its members, as well as build the membership base

Ihr Profil

Master’s degree in tourism, hospitality, with proven knowledge of agriculture First working experience with agritourism, guesthouses or hotels, particularly in rural, agricultural settings in the context of the task described Moderation and facilitation skills for multi-stakeholders processes; experience in event organisation; excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Analytical, strategic and change management thinking; excellent digital knowledge; market development supply chain management thinking Business fluent in English; German and  Albanian language skills are considered an advantage
